Our day at the fair........

My sister (so very generous) invited all of us to go to the fair with her yesterday. She paid all of our ways (one price for everything, rides, shows, etc. ) She even took us to McDonald's for dinner before we went. We got there about 4:30p.m. and it was 10:40p.m. before we left. We did not plan on being there but a few hours....BUT the kids were having such a wonderful time, and this was a day for the kids...all about the kids....that we could not leave..We were having a great time because the kids were. It was the first year that William really got to enjoy himself, and Brooke enjoyed it more, than in the past. It was a beautiful day, the temps were in the 70's, no humidity, no mosquito's.....It was just wonderful. We did have to sample some normal carny food...Elephant ears (the kids ate most of mine) Corn Dogs (both kids devoured them..shocker) Lemonade (the kids drank them up too) and some Chicken on a stick....I am still glowing in the beautiful day we had......Of course my footsies are not....they did not like the change from flip flops to socks and tennis shoes very well...I kept getting cramps in my toes...Was very glad though that we all wore pants and shoes, because it did get a slight bit chilly after the sun went down....Poor Candy wore a sleeveless shirt and had goosebumps by the time we left.

Benji went to the vet yesterday, and got all his shots, and found out he has an ear infection, and worms (which I knew he had) SO he is good to go, until October, when we will probably get him neutered and he will need a booster on his distemper and such. The nicest part of that visit, was since he is our new addition, we did not have to pay for an office call, and we got all kinds of free goodies, "Advantage" multi, Big bag of puppy food, coupons....He got a good bill of health, except he does have a slight, sometimes detectable heart murmur, which he could outgrow, and he has an under bite, which may lead to problems later after his adult teeth come in. If that is the case they will have to pull his canine teeth.

Oh before I forget....Jack update....He has to have a Colonoscopy and an EGD done on the 18th of August. My mom will be taking him for those, because it is the same day that William has his Neurologist appointment...They want to go in and check things out and take some biopsies, seeing that he has had a problem for a month, and his dad had colon cancer........
